Philosophy of
Education
Through my years of experience I
have adopted a philosophy of education that is centered on the belief that all
students can learn. In order to construct such a belief certain values must be
present. The value of learning and the importance to keep the campus focused on
learning. The study of accurate data, fast response to intervention, and
careful analysis of student exceptions is what can help improve all student
growth. I believe that educating our students will lead to a better, safer
community.
Philosophy of
Leadership
My philosophy in leadership
correlates with my philosophy in education. Leaders in the educational
community must maintain balance amongst their roles as a school community
leader, administrative leader, and an instructional leader. A campus leader must adjust accordingly to
maintain all focus on learning. I believe the values of an effective
educational leader must contain honesty, be of good character both on and off
campus, and have the willingness to make all efforts to ensure focus is on
learning and student growth is being obtained.
Vision for Learning
As a campus leader I will
thrive to maintain the ability to effectively sustain a school culture and
instructional program conducive to student learning. My vision for teaching and
learning embraces a strong relationship between teachers and students. A
relationship that is structured, safe, and nurturing to the growth of that
student intellectually and socially. This rapport between the two will remain
focused on learning, analyzing data, and responding to such results.
Vision for Teachers
The vision that I have for
educators contains high expectations. When selecting and supervising staff, I
expect one to be of high moral standards and to uphold the campus vision and
beliefs. The candidate will be one who is knowledgeable within their area of
expertise and a life long learner. I would seek out ones who contain
characteristics of an effective teacher. An applicant who is positive, holds
high expectations, and can cultivate a sense of belonging for their students.
With such a staff I would ensure a focused staff development strategy would be in
place.
Vision for School
Improvement
By maintaining a focused staff
development, it will aide in my vision for school improvement. The vision I
have for school improvement encompasses a few aspects to advance student
learning. Student assessment, implementation of technology with the development
of a vision for future technology integration, and certifying a viable
curriculum is implemented are a few beliefs in a vision of school improvement.
Vision for
Professional Growth
To build and maintain a successful
campus I would uphold a vision for
developing strong professional learning communities. I
believe collaboration within a team has the power to make tremendous leaps
towards a well-rounded learning community that preserves the focus on learning.
The relationship between campus and community can have a great impact on a
student’s education.
